Surfing in Majorca is becoming fashionable. Who would have thought that in a destination where the sea is a true haven of peace, a sport like this could be practised? But you can, and in fact there is a whole community of surfers and kite surf fans who usually meet at Son Serra de Marina beach to ride the waves from time to time.

Paddle surfing

One water sport in Majorca that is becoming more popular nowadays is paddle surfing, or SUP, which consists of moving over the water on a board with the help of an oar and the movement of your own body. This activity has great health benefits, and you can learn how to do it in the specialised centres that you’ll find in most of the Majorcan coastal resorts.

This is ideal to practise as a couple. There are lots of centres that offer kayak and canoe rental at very competitive prices. You can tour the small islets and access secluded beaches.

In order to discover the diverse marine fauna of the island, there are several areas to dive in Majorca, such as Sa Dragonera, El Toro, Cabrera, Cala Ratjada and Sa Madonna, among many others.

If you want to experience an adrenaline rush, wakeboarding is the sport for you. This activity consists of riding over the sea at full speed on a small board whilst being towed along by a boat. How long will you be able to keep your balance?

Have a holiday full of excitement and enjoy the wide variety of water sports you can practise on the island by staying by the beach in our Sol House, situated on the beach at Magaluf, and Sol Beach House, on the Cala Blanca beachfront.
